April 13th

We drove down to the lake house to celebrate Jenny's birthday. The weather was awesome and Richard was off work so we took advantage of the day and were able to spend some time with our extended family. The boys thoroughly enjoy our time spent at the lake and it allows us to make GREAT family memories.

April 12th

Spring has FINALLY sprung in Alabama.. The weather has gotten warm and the boys are loving the outdoors. They are riding their bikes, running races and eating popsicles at every chance they can get. I can not believe how big they are getting and how active they are becoming. The outside time has become a great bonding time for the boys and their Daddy.

Nicholas - is he not just so photogenic?

On your mark! Get Set! GO!

April 11th

While Mom and Dad were in Jacksonville, Florida, Mitzi started showing signs of her right eye having infection. So they called the eye specialist here in Birmingham - and Harvey drove Mitzi up to me. I took her to the vet and they recommended her staying with me and treating her with meds. So we had a new pet for the week. She just moved right in and made herself at home. She even chased a few cats around near the end of the week.

Each year the police department selects an "Officer of the Year". Well this year I happen to be the lucky wife of the 2007 Officer of the Year. We are so proud of Richard and his accomplishment. It takes a special person to be a police officer and with someone like Richard who puts everything he has into his job - this accomplishment was well deserved.

Their was a dinner in honor of the police officer of the year and the fireman of the year. We celebrated both of their accomplishments. I am so proud and I love him!!

April 1st

Now that we have the frogs - we go bug hunting in the evenings to give them variety in their diets. The easiest and most common thing we find are crane flies (mosquito eaters). So each night the boys and Daddy "hunt" them and we feed them to the frogs.

All my boys: Aren't they handsome!

March 31st

When you have three boys there is ALWAYS excitement in store for you. We are learning this almost every week and so is our health insurance and I believe that we are on first name basis with some of the nurses and doctors at the hospital. So here is the story: Cameron, Charlie and Nicholas were riding their bikes and Daddy told them to head to the front door across the yard- get off their bikes and walk them down the driveway. Well sometimes Daddy forgets that Cameron does not do so well with multiple line instructions so off he goes through the yard. Across my flower bed and right off the retaining wall onto his face! So scary! As you can see below the retaining wall is a very high wall. Luckily - there were no bones broken or anything. How resilient are these little ones.....

The retaining wall - the winner!
