Tonight as every night the boys came home from school asking the infamous question: "Mommy, Daddy What is for dinner?"
So Daddy told him he was cooking Chicken Voila. They asked what it was. He said a little chicken and some VOILA. They giggled and asked what it really was? He said it had some carrots and VOILA. Laughing again they said no - what is it.. He just kept naming ingredients with VOILA. So I came to the kitchen and they asked me what VOILA was. It just made me laugh. The infamous Chicken VOILA!!!

Since I have a week off before I start my new job I was hanging in the house doing laundry.. So I started folding the boy clothes and as I made each pile and placed it on the ottoman - Sam decided to move in. She absolutely adores fresh cleaned clothes. We have to fight her off our clean clothes so there aren't white cat hairs all over it.

The Extreme Knecht Makeover...
If you take a look below Julio, I mean Richard, has decided to grow a stupid mustache.. The boys and I have taken a vote and we want him to SHAVE IT OFF!!!! What do you think?
New Job = New Hair... I decided to get my hair cut today and ended up cutting off about 10 inches and added layers. The picture isnt the best and it was the end of the day - but I think I like it. The boys came in from school and told me that my hair looked pretty - of course they were prompted by their Daddy on the way in from the garage.

We spent the weekend at Grandmom's house. When we go down there we always bring down the gamecube so that they can play in the back.. This is Cameron and Charlie racing Crash...
Baylee and Nicholas went "shopping" through catalogs to circle what they wanted.. Not sure that there were any pages or items that were not circled :)
Lisa Shaffer came over from Atlanta to join the Girls Only (Except for 3 - 5 year old boys) hunting season house..

Richard has S.W.A.T. training once a month. Today they had NSA (National Security Associates) training them on listening devices and covert cameras. Don't be hiding anything from him. He also worked on manual door breaching and manual window breaching. So we can also not lock ourselves inside from him ;)
These are some snapshots of his training.

Tonight while I was drying the boys hair - Daddy snuck in and snapped some pictures. The boys of course act silly in front of the camera but I thought the pictures turned out adorable.

Through Richard's job he has had the opportunity to travel some in the U.S. Over the past few days he went Washington D.C. to attend the Annual S.W.A.T Sniper Synposium. Here are a few pictures from his trip.

Well the forecast was coming and the boys got super excited and barely slept last night - it was going to snow. So we went to sleep last night when I got up at 3 for the potty break there was no snow on the ground. I knew the boys were going to be disappointed. But shortly after we got up the snow started falling.. and falling and falling.. I know it was not much maybe and inch - but we do live in Alabama.. Enjoy the pics..

Today at work Richard was dispatched to a residence for "a raccoon in the garbage can". When Richard got to the house there was a raccoon in a 55 gallon trash bin. It had climbed on top of the air conditioner and opened the lid, crawled down and started munching on the leftover Thai food and then could not get back out. So instead of dumping the Raccoon out himself - the owner (who was a middle aged man) called the cops. So Richard dumped the trash bin over and the raccoon ran to the woods - and the trash was left in the driveway for the owner to clean up.

On Saturdays we get to play at home.. Richard works and I stay home with the boys. Today Charlie and Nicholas were found playing with dinosaurs and power rangers in Charlie's bed. They are really good at make believe which I love about them.
So while Charlie and Nicholas were upstairs I caught Cameron playing with his toys in the entry way. He really likes his time imaginative playing - and you can usually find him alone when the others are playing together.

On Fridays at school they have show and tell. So this morning when the boys got up and dressed they had to go pick out their show and tell. Nicholas picked "Josie" the little while dog beanie that just happens to look like our little Westie, Josie. Charlie picked the green Batman. Charlie picks a super hero nearly every show and tell. He just adores them.. Cameron gets to show the dr his rash... :)

As life in a police officer's family goes there are very difficult. Today was one of those times in our family. A friend of Richard's, Officer Stone, was killed Sunday morning in an accident and his funeral was today. If you have ever experienced a funeral of a police officer then you know how touching and somber it can be. Officer Stone was a 15 year veteran of the police force and left behind a wife and 5 children. This always rattles the community of police officers and their families as it touches us all. Our family will keep the Stone family in our thoughts and prayers as they continue through their healing process. As you can see below Officer Stone was much loved and very respected.

Whoever invented the Hot - N - Ready $5.00 Little Caesars Pizza HAD to be a working parent. How else can you feed three very hungry 5 year olds for $5.00? After working all day and Daddy taking them to the gym - he stopped to pick up supper! Yummy!!

First Pictures January 6th
My first picture is of today is of Nicholas who had a little accident today... With three boys there is always something or someone getting hurt or broken. He was climbing on the back of the couch and fell off landing directly on his back. He was even limping afterwards. So we put an ice pack on his back and then we were able to put them down for their nap.
So the boys go take a nap and of course Cameron could not fall asleep and decided to come down to lay in our bed and play his favorite past time games ....... Leapster!!

My goal this year is to take more pictures of our family and activities.. Seems we always get caught up in the days activities and then look around and we have barely any pictures.. I am going to follow the lead of a good friend who did a project last year called 365 meaning she would take pictures each day. I did start about 6 days late but I am going to attempt do this during 2008. So expect to see some pictures of this year! Happy New Year!!
